Large size and quantity items

We house a 6m long batch oven capable of at least 6 color changes in any one day plus a large 450m2 powder coating room.

All powder coating is done by hand

Receive much better coverage than you'd get with an automated system. Our veteran powder coaters do the job by hand and with a keen eye for detail.

Comprehensive pre-treatment

A four stage Phosphate Chromate preparation dipping process is used for aluminum extrusion. This involves submerging your items in a series of dipping baths... The the only one of its type in Warrnambool.

How it all started

Our powder coating division has been in operation for over 25 years, originally established due to the lack of quality powder coating in Warrnambool.

Already offering abrasive blasting as a service, we were often asked to remove failed powder coating jobs. This proved to be a costly process for the customer and quite often we would charge less than it would cost us to do.

This couldn't keep happening. After purchasing a second hand powder coating set up from Bundaberg Lace in North Queensland, we shipped it to our factory, set it up and had some very costly telephone calls to Jim at Bundy Lace.

These weren’t just catch up calls - Jim was teaching us how to powder coat by phone! Fast forward 25+ years later and Chemblast's powder coating division has progressively expanded, occupying 350m2 of our factory. We're proud to be Warrnambool's trusted domestic and commercial powder coater business, with loyal clients that return time and time again.
